Hauke Wendt began his career practically before he started his studies as Principal role cast member "Jerry Allison" in "BUDDY - THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY" at the Hafentheater Hamburg (then Neue Metropol Musicaltheater), where he was on stage from 1995-2000.
As a drummer and percussionist he was involved in productions such as CATS (Stuttgart and tour), JEKYLL & HYDE (Cologne) and Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (U.K. Tour) and also played JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT (Essen), JEKYLL & HYDE (Bremen), Disney's DIE SCHÖNE UND DAS BIEST (Stuttgart, Oberhausen and Berlin), TANZ DER VAMPIRE (Stuttgart), ELISABETH (Essen and tour), Disney's AIDA and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (all Essen), THE PHYSICIAN (Munich) as well as CRAZY FOR YOU, WITCHCRAFT - THE MAGIC OF CY COLEMAN, PIAF, ELVIS LOVES YOU, SHOCKHEADED PETER, THE WIZARD OF OZ, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES and DISNEY'S ALADDIN in Hamburg.
Hauke was conductor for CATS, Disney’s AIDA and ELISABETH, where he has performed in Zurich, Antwerp, Trieste and on tour and where he took over the responsibilities of the Musical Director. In Hamburg, Hauke Wendt was responsible for the productions of Disney CAMP ROCK, HAIRSPRAY JR, 42nd STREET, CHICAGO and RUMPELSTILTSKIN as musical director, alongside conducting the biggest ABBA tribute show in the world, ABBAMANIAin German-speaking countries and Eastern Europe in 2019.
BUDDY FOREVER was developed from what was originally intended to be only three performances on the Easter weekend in 2007 as a Buddy Holly reloaded planned project into an ongoing success programme, with Hauke enjoying making music with four other former cast members of BUDDY - das Musical. They have been performing monthly at the Imperial Theatre on the Reeperbahn in Hamburg ever since.
With The 24 hour musicals he brought the "crazy" theatre concept, in which four musicals are developed within 24 hours and performed as part of a benefit event with prominent artists, from New York's Broadway to the Musical Creations Entertainment company location in Ahrensburg in 2014 as producer.
For MORD AM MIKRO! Hauke Wendt can be seen and heard in all the women's roles, in addition to his function as producer, as a drummer and performer.
Hauke has also worked with various orchestras, including Komische Oper Berlin, Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, Duisburger Philharmoniker, Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, Philharmonisches Orchester Gießen, German Pops Orchestra, Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, Heilbronner Sinfonie Orchester, Ensemble der Ludwigsburger Festspiele, Hamburger Symphoniker, Modern Percussion Ensemble Hamburg and the Schleswig - Holstein - Musik - Festival - Orchester.
