Disney's "Beauty and the Beast"

The Broadway production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast". The MCE Shows team has had a long and intense association with this musical. The musical was written by author Linda Woolverton, lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and composer Alan Menken, based on the Walt Disney animated film of the same name.

It celebrated its world premiere on Broadway in New York on 18 April 1994, directed by Robert Jess Roth with choreography by Matt West and musical direction by Michael Kosarin.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast"

Jacqui Dunnley-Wendt played in the ensemble of the European premiere in Vienna as well as the premiere at the Dominion Theatre in the West End London. Later she was Swing and Assistant Dance Captain for the production in Stuttgart. There, Hauke Wendt also worked as principal sub for the positions drums and percussion.

For Disney's self-produced UK / International Tour 2001-2003, Jacqui served as Dance Captain and Assistant Resident Director, while Hauke Wendt was the only foreigner in the orchestra to accompany the production.

After her engagement as Assistant Choreographer for the Korean production in Seoul, Jacqui Dunnley-Wendt supervised the productions in South Africa, Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) as Associate Director and Associate Choreographer. All of these productions are 1st class licenses of the Broadway production.
